Where ancient craft meets modern artistry. The Crystal Glasses collection brings the centuries-old Japanese tradition of Edo Kiriko to the contemporary whisky table. Each glass is individually hand-carved through an 8-step artisan process — from high-purity lead-free crystal, through overlay layering, precision carving, fine engraving, stone grinding, and polishing, to a final hand-cleaned mirror finish. No two glasses are identical. Please note: hand-carved crystal glasses require careful handling — hand wash recommended.

What Is Edo Kiriko?
Edo Kiriko (江戸切子) is a traditional Japanese glass-cutting craft originating in the Edo period. A coloured outer layer (overlay) is fused over a clear crystal base, then hand-cut to reveal two-tone geometric and floral patterns. The overlay layer is at least 1 mm thick; fine engraving detail is cut to within 0.5 mm. Every cut is made by hand.
The 8-Step Process
Crystal melting (1,400°C+) → overlay colour layering (≥1mm) → index positioning → rough carving → fine engraving (≤0.5mm) → stone grinding → polishing → hand-clean to mirror finish.
