Craftsmanship
Each earring is entirely handmade using the FUGE leather sculpture technique — a process of wetting, shaping, and setting raw cowhide into three-dimensional forms without moulds. FUGE was founded in 2009 and is widely regarded as the originator of the leather sculpture flower jewellery craft in China. The translucent quality of the Mist earrings is achieved through a combination of fine-grain cowhide selection and a layered dyeing process that preserves the leather’s natural translucency. The blue-grey edge gradient is hand-painted petal by petal; no two pairs are identical.
